Good deal June 10, 2008 Pen Name: I bought this charger after I bought a Sonicare e9500 package at Costco. The package at Costco had two brush heads, two handles, and one charger for about the price of one brush head and charger. My dad got one of the chargers and handles to use at his house and I got the other handle and bought this charger to use at my house. The charger has worked great. I have no complaints. This way, we saved money because after dividing the total cost of everything in half, we've paid less for each Sonicare with charger than we would if we got them in individual packaging.
Is there any other choice? February 7, 2008 SSG (Redmond, WA United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I made the mistake of breaking my original charger by plugging it into 220V. I had no alternative other than this charger and it seems to be working fine so far.
Interestingly my brush occasionally refuses to start immediately when I press the power button. Sometimes it needs multiple clicks sometimes it doesn't. It started to happen shortly after using this charger, it might be related to it.
Universal Charger for Sonicare Models Works Well January 7, 2008 K. Toutolmin 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Our Sonicare Elite toothbrush came with multiple handles, but only one charger. Supposedly the 2nd handle is for travel, but without a charger, it doesn't do much good, especially if one of us is away on an extended trip. We found this universal charger & ordered two, because our son had the same problem. Happily, this little unit works perfectly. The order arrived without delay, so we couldn't be more pleased. Order this charger without worries.
Universal Charger for Philips Sonicare Elite December 18, 2007 ak_chris 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
Quick shipment and the charger appears to function fine but not UL listed. I suspect this is a knock-off to the original Sonicare Elite charger as there are no identification markings on it and no UL listing.
The original charger has the marking Philips Sonicare on the front and the UL Listed 1T26 Personal Hygiene Appliance information on the bottom.
I tried to contact the seller regarding the non-UL listing and never got a response.
Here is what the UL site said, "UL is the trusted source across the globe for product compliance. Benefiting a range of customers - from manufacturers and retailers to consumers and regulating bodies - we've tested products for public safety for more than a century."
